Toddler 1
The Toddler 1 Room welcomes children ages 12 months to 18-24 months.
Our Toddler 1 Room is guided by one Lead Teacher, a certified Montessori educator, and supported by three Assistant Teachers who support each child’s daily needs and growth. The room is a safe and enriching space for children to explore new abilities, satisfy curiosity, and develop social skills through hands-on activities promoting sensory exploration and encouraging problem-solving.
The Toddler 1 program provides for the whole child’s social, physical, intellectual, and emotional development. It focuses on your child’s natural learning style and provides varied, challenging, and interesting activities. In the Toddler 1 room, your child engages with their environment and learns via Montessori “work cycles,” uninterrupted periods where they choose their own activities, clean up, and choose a new one. This process allows for deep concentration and develops independence and self-discipline. Your child will also engage in free play, circle time, and other stimulating activities to introduce new concepts. A quiet, supervised nap time is provided each day to help children rest and recharge.
Weekly movement classes by Power Tots are also offered as an optional opportunity.
