Small Savers Montessori strives to provide an inviting and inspiring environment that fosters connection, curiosity, creativity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
We are an independent, non-profit that has cared for children and their families in greater Washington, D.C. for nearly 40 years.
Our school is a welcoming community abundant in opportunities for exploring and developing new skills through an American Montessori Society (AMS) curriculum. At Small Savers Montessori, we aspire to provide a nurturing and engaged community where every child thrives, every staff member is respected and supported, and every family is enthusiastically invited to participate in their child’s education.

• A dedicated and thoughtful leadership team supported by a parent-run board fostering strong community involvement
• A program grounded in the American Montessori Society (AMS) curriculum for children 3 months to 5 years old
Our Facility & Schedule
• A bright & beautiful center with a private outdoor playground
• A 52-week operating schedule in a secured building
• Full-time early childhood education, Monday-Friday from 8:00a to 5:30p for children ages 3 months to 5 years
• 15-minute complimentary garage parking for drop-off & pick-up
• A peanut and tree-nut-free facility

We are a fully licensed child development center and an independently operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by a dedicated parent board. We are CCAoA and MCCYN approved. Our physical location is in downtown Washington, D.C., within the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau building (hence the name Small Savers). Enrollment is open to the general public.
